I currently have a long distance (> 1/2mi) *audio* link between my automation system and our vehicles. This is sufficient to interact with it and for it to interact with us (without having to resort to cell phone connections). I'm looking at fattening the pipe so I can send video and encrypted data (the audio link is licensed for voice only -- though I can get around that for low bandwid

How is "directivity" defined for these Minicircuits gain blocks? Datasheet here: Across the bandwidth of interest I'm measuring S21 as about 20-something dB give or take a dB which seems fine, S12 is at -40. If "directivity" in this context is just S12 then that seems within spec but if it's |S21 - S12| then something

Tww it the dimensionless factor (how many parts you tidly-wink and lose) / (how many parts you want) which, for 0603's, runs 0.6 or so.

I have an opamp with a 10 volt positive supply and need the output to swing to about 16 volts. I was thinking I could add a paralleled 6.8 volt zener, a cap, and a floating power supply at the opamp output. The power supply could be a PV optocoupler like this: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/toshiba-semiconductor-and-storage/TLP3905-TPR-E/78098 04 My load is obviously light, a

This is a DAC-programmed power supply, 48v in and 0-36 out maybe. I want to use the TI switcher, but I don't know how to wedge it into LT Spice. One of my guys can run the TI simulator, so I'll let him tune it with the TI part. We might do programmable current limiting in an FPGA, based on the current shunt measurement.
