Cell phone use causes tongue cancer

>"What's interesting about the CO2 graphs is the sawtooth waveform,
expecially the down slopes. " The other graphs aren't all that much different if you consider the years covered. They are not all the same so it is like looking at a scope waveform at different sweep speeds. And we don't really know the actual resolution. I would tend to think, just think, that CO2 levels would be higher in winter without the contribution of the forested areas. Also less O2 coming from the oceans. Then higher contributions of CO2 from more burning for heat and cars idling to warm up, things like that. You can look it up if you want, I didn't. It just seems to make sense. So how many times a year to they measure it, or is it always the same month or date every year ? We don't know. Actually I posted that because I wanted to show that correlation does not equal causation. If you think that way you'll engage in alot of error plagued post hoc ergo propter hoc. I seriously think Jeff was kidding in the OP. Such things lead to very long threads on Usenet at times. And it seems the more off topic it is the better.
>"This is obviously going to hit women disproportionately more than men. "
You're lucky the feminists are too self absorbed and ignorant to recognize that little dig.
>"After many years of being disappointed by such products, I've
concluded that he was correct. " You forgot one of the big ones - "NEW AND IMPROVED". Market Day. An organisation that teaches kids business skill in schools. My Ma's boss's kid was in it and he gave her their catalogue. She comes over my house with some stuffed chicken breast, had cheese and broccoli in it. They were great and I told her I would take more. So she gets me a case and how much is it ? Over a buck each ! i paid it because it was worth it. Then one day I get my delivery and it says new and improved. Less cholesterol or something, healthier. Well the cheese became cheese sauce with less flavor, considerably. And the nice medium size florettes were not those little mini things the must trim off with a frikken razor blade or maybe army style hair clippers. Too small to taste. so the about $ 25 a month they got from me turned into zero. To new executives - there is a reason why they don't take your ideas. You want to walk into a job at a Michelin Star rated restaurant owned by Gordon Ramsay and tell them how they need to change their menu and tell them how to cook ? There is a reason why those people are on the board of directors of a successful company. And they don't care if you graduated Cum Laude with an advanced degree in basketweaving. Sit down and learn. Next is the car companies. They think people will buy anything. It is time for their lesson to begin. Electronics companies as well. you want $ 400 for this amp and it only has one knob on it ? "Oh, you hit this to get into the menu and turn it, when you get to what you want you hit the button again and you can control bass and treble here". OK "So this is worse than Windows then". Thus the market for the vintage stuff. Do you know what a Pioneer SX-1950 goes for ? More than most people's house payments in the normal world. Not in NY or CA, but in normal places. Anyway, I figured you were kinda joking in the OP. But they had found that link between cell phones and brain cancer. Another thing about tongue cancer, many young people have such poor diction they could probably speak just as well without a tongue. So cut that thing out. They might have trouble eating and becoming the morbidly obese diabetic they are. Cynical ? In the dictionary my picture appears next to the word.

Add "ultimate", "de luxe", "royal", and similar. "If you got to say you're a lady, you ain't" - James Cagney
>"I presume that if fewer rats contracted this rare cancer, it would be even more evident that it was caused by cell phone emissions. "
Hmm... I'll have to think on that, after burning one. :-)

Sounds to me like you just asked to join the Ellen James society. You've already got the hostility down pat. Rick C.

Speaking of expectations, I have yet to find any item in the frozen food section that even remotely resembles the image on the front of the box -- no matter how meticulously you prepare it.

The light plays a significant part here. Virtually all those food shots are taken under diffuse natural daylight, so you'd have to compare your culinary efforts with them under daylight, too. -- This message may be freely reproduced without limit or charge only via the Usenet protocol. Yeah, and the fact that they have food cosmeticians. I shit you not. I wouldn't be surprised if the hamburger you see on a McD's commercial is spray painted.

I don't see cell phones as being marketed with the term "smart" in their name. It's nothing more than street slang for a class of products. The Luddites are out in force today!
