Hello all, I own a vintage (1968) automobile, equipped with a vintage radio. The previous owner installed slightly more modern speakers. The radio works, adequately. However, it is not able (of course) to accept my mp3 player as a signal source. As I stare at the pinout data of a USB connector methinks I could cobble a few devices together, splice it into the connections for the r...

I'm looking at building a couple circuits and have some questions regarding LEDs... #1: I've been given the following formula to figure out what size current limiting resistor to use when working with LEDs: R = ( Vs - Vl ) / I So, if I want to power a 3v, 20mA LED from a 12v source (such as an automobile) I would simply need to use a 470K (closest value to 450) resistor? Do I n...

Could a stun gun have destroyed his Legend car's electronics? My friend has a 1988 Acura Legend Coupe. He was trying out a stun gun and accidentally zapped the car. The car wouldn't work after that. Any idea what happened? What circuits should be checked out? Is there an inexpensive fix for this automobile engine problem, if it was the stungun that caused the problem? Could a relay or hidde...
