My water comes from a well. When the well was drilled I had only built my shop and so the well is now powered by my shop. The pressure tank and switch is also at the shop. Now that the house is built I need to power the well from the house. This is fine but I am not gonna move the pressure tank and the pump switch must be at the tank for proper operation. The problem I must address i...

I have been looking online but there seems to be, for a lot of the antennas, an assumption of prior knowledge. That I don't have. What I want to do is survey some of my property line. Mainly so I know about where it is because about 25% of the length is ambiguous. I can pay a surveyor to do the job but it would cost about 4 thousand bucks. Of course a proper survey would be more ...

The PID output would be presented to the public, so the public could better understand the various degrees of shutdown. There might be 50 shades of shutdown. Bret Cahill

Is it reasonable/possible to build an 8 amp 20 V transformerless power supply from a 120Vac line. I calculate about 180uf plus or minus depending on other components. Maybe 9- 20uf caps in parallel? I'd like to build it into a leaf blower. All plastic, absolutely no metal exposed. I think I've answered my question, I have 12, X rated caps in my junk box, but they are only 1uf....

Summin didn't look right. The replacement starter motor was 2/3rds the dia of the original, mebbe haf the wait. I tink, WTF? Weren't all them optimum nummers well settled back in the early Nicolacene? I toght, heck, no need to strap it onto the bike rack. I'll just stick hit into a shoppin bag. Affer an easy installation, the thang _akutually werked._! Affer about 2 days a theory he...

I have some BC547 transistors which I want to use in a circuit, but according to this: Hook the positive lead from the multimeter to the to the EMITTER (E) of the transistor. Hook the negative meter lead to the BASE (B) of the transistor. For an good NPN transistor, you should see ?OL? (Over Limit). If you are testing PNP transistor, the meter should show a voltage drop between 0.

trying to fix AC/DC power plug. I have a Diode that says: GW327 SR560 I THINK this is a Schottkty Diode. Setting meter to Diode test, Im getting, 1.71 Forward and Reverse .171. Normally on diode I know you should get 1 on reverse Are these readings allowable or is the Diode Bad. Thanks.

Just found this neat method to make 10:1 voltage dividers. Not as important now that you can get such precision resistors, but with this you don't need them. Also measurable on a single voltage range so no worry about another attenuator in your meter. Again not so important with modern meters. I had to read it twice to understand it, maybe you will do better. > http://conradhoffman.co
