I ran across this video. In it the build puts together a PCB using small pieces of PCB superglued to a larger piece. Not a new method, but beginners may find it useful. Years ago I purchased some Rogers Duroid pcb, it is 1/32" and teflon. I use a paper punch or a leather hole punch to make small discs of pcb. The Teflon material makes it very easy to punch. It is much easier than making s...

I've completed my first PCB design in Eagle. Thinking of sending it off to one of those small-batch fabs. But, I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to take a look at my design and giving me any pointers or gotchas? I'm looking for both aesthetic and technical input. On a related note, what's the best way to share my design/PCB on this group? Thanks, Daniel.

I think transmitting high-speed signals is very easy when you have a 360-degree ground reference, round conductors, and no other nearby signals like in coaxial cables. My aim is to design PCB tracks as much like a coaxial cable as possible. Anyone tried this before? Is it possible with regular FR4, anyway? Thanks for your help. Gero

Hey I'm new to electronics! How do you mount a pbc inside a case? I've notice that the cases usually have some premade mounting sockets (if that's the right word), but I don't understand how to use those, because you have to be very lucky for the mounting holes in the pcb to fit the sockets. I'm planning to buy one of these: http://tekoenclosures.com/enclosures/pult.htm how should I ...

MG Chemicals sells pre-sensitized copper-clad PCB blanks for use with their exposure and etch kit. Pretty straightforward "print pattern on transparency; place on PCB; expose to light; wash off exposed portion; etch" process. HI, I have 2 PCBs stacked with standoffs the one on the top is a SMPS, and the one on the botttom has some TH components that can bridge with some in the top PCB, I was wondering how it is normally do to isolate stacked PCBs, there is no room for a bigger stand off.
