WTF is Russia Thinking?

Started by Ricky May 18, 2022
I suppose I should ask what is Putin thinking, really. I read Russia has moved missiles close to Finland's border... nuclear capable missiles! Is that supposed to make Finland more comfortable about not joining NATO?

Finland may not have a choice. Turkey is making noises about vetoing their application. But that may just be posturing to gain some concessions. Working the system...

I'm not going to pretend I understand all the issues at play, but I'm not seeing this going well for Russia. I'm wondering what the hell is going to happen.

Russia is moving nuclear missiles around WITHIN ITS OWN BORDERS. Oh my!

It should be obvious to everybody with any perspective of history, that
NATO has been an aggressive military force after the Cold War ended.

We won the Cold War. That's great (at least until we went off the cannibal
leftist deep end). But we should realize conventional warfare is obsolete.
If we poke the bear enough, it will start launching nukes. Winning the
Cold War doesn't mean we can exterminate Russia, however badly some
imperialist warmongers want to do that.

Not to mention the support Russia has from China, Turkey, India, etc.

NATO moves nuclear missiles around near Russia's borders. If they get too
close, Russia will respond. Apparently there are too many suicidal people
in the world who just don't get it.

Maybe it's no coincidence, a cannibal leftist who promotes mutilating
children before they reach puberty might be suicidal too. Disclaimer: Not
a saint, some things are obvious.

Some people are incapable of thinking objectively...

Perhaps NATO should drop Turkey and add Finland. Turkey is dictatorship, Finland is democracy.

In the Russian culture, strength is very important. Showing strength and being strong. Excuses are simply signs of weakness, regardless of how valid they might be. Some say Putin could save face by blaming the west for supplying Ukraine with all the weapons. But, in the Russian culture, it would just be a sign of weakness. He will try anything and everything as his disposal to win the war. This includes nuclear weapons. It is not a question of "if", but of "when" the first nuke will pop. Yes, I honestly believe there is a nuclear war in the not too distant future. After that, I don't know what will happen. -- RoRo

you are a total idiot. not only are you repeating your previous baseless and debunked claims about NATO. Your claims about "history" are laughable (actually kind of sad because of what it means about you) Do you remember 3 months ago when Russia put 120 thousand troops on it's own boarders, claimed it was an exercise and later claimed the troops were "leaving". What happened then? Could anyone trust putin when he puts troops near their boarder? Especially since he is a war monger and lier? You can't see that moving a tactical nuke with a range of 300km into position so it can attack the majority of Finland without warning would be a worry? putin has followed hitler's strategy step by step - except his military is not working for him. Putin is even now interfering in battles and making tactical decisions - just like hitler. Putin is insane.

The only things in favour of Turkey being in NATO is the Bosphorus and the Dardanelles. But that's a lot.
