Hi I recently bought a EMI test receiver HP 85422E at an auction. I have tested it, directing a single frequency into the RF input. The gain is spot on, at most 0.5dB off. But the frequency is wrong. If I enter 50MHz, I get 20MHz peak. If I then add 100MHz, it only increased the peak by 73MHz. It's consistent, every time I increase by 100MHz, only 73MHz is seen (generator has been check...

An item in WSJ about Coreweave. They operate a GPU 'cloud server', or whatever, soaking up as many Nvidia GPU as they can get, for AI applications. I know near zip about this business. Like what makes Nvidia chips ultra optimized for AI? And what's inside the Coreweave boxes, are they building custom parallel computers? And what's their business model? I mean, what are the...

This inductor data sheet numbers the six pins, we suspect using a european third-angle projection, but the part has no hint of where pin 1 might be. https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/schaffner-emc-inc/RT8132-8-4M8/8345234 It doesn't matter, but our production and QC people will pester us endlessly about it. The drawings in the data sheet are inaccurate too. On this conn...

I tend to assume all claimed certs on products like AC adapter bricks on Amazon are nonsense. There's this apocryphal story that Amazon has recently cracked down on certs: but if so I take that to mean they put US sellers and manufacturers who do have the proper certs in hand through
