NT isn't  great at distinguishing signal from noise.  He has this delusion that what he posts is signal rather than noise, and feels hurt when other people point out that what he's posting is deluded nonsense. He comforts himself with idea that he is being jeered at rather than corrected.

It is less than helpful. Quite why they changed it isn't clear. It's predecessor was easier to work with than the traditional threaded display, but the new version isn't an improvement.
