What is AI anyhow? Sounds like just some code. -- If a man will begin with certainties, he shall end with doubts, but if he will be content to begin with doubts he shall end in certainties. Francis Bacon

For 70 years, the aircraft carrier group has been the projection of naval power. In today's world, what defense do they have against hypersonic missiles?

Probably in space. Missiles need guidance system. They will target our GPS and we will target their version of GPS satellites.

Really? You think that the US will just back away if our Navy is attacked in that manner? We would have no choice but to hit China and hit them hard, very possibly with nukes. That's why China will never attack the US Navy in such a manner. If we didn't, we would be subject to similar attacks by anyone with a non-trivial military. -- Rick C. -+ Get 1,000 miles of free Supercharging -+ Tesla referral code - https://ts.la/richard11209

This has been discussed before. China cutting off the US would be cutting their own throats. The world depends on trade and no country is an island... except for the ones that actually are.
