OT: Trump's Other Infection

Started by Ricketty C October 3, 2020
I'm surprised that there is so little discussion here about the biggest event since the Presidential race started. Trump has fallen ill with the very disease he so readily dismissed. Now he has been packed off to hospital and the news is very sparse.

With other members of government also being ill (among them 3 senators, 2 from the judiciary committee) the infection would seem to be impacting our ability to govern.

Yet so little discussion here.

Since you guys have nothing to say about electronics, you rant about whatever NPR rants about 24/7. I suppose un-moderated newsgroups are doomed. The number of coarse jerks with foul opinions always overwhelms the few people who have something to say about the topic. I love it. This guy posts whatever, whenever and is happy to add his two cents worth on any off topic thread in the group. But when someone starts a thread he doesn't like he gets very upset. Thanks, John. You just made my day. :) Oh, and I read Chris Christie also is infected. One of the advantages of supporting the team that takes the disease seriously, your players don't get benched nearly as often. We'll see how this pans out, but it's not looking at all good for the Republicans in the election. Not good at all. But what can you expect really? They can be in denial about public opinion if they want... there's always time to hit one out of the park before the election somehow. But it's hard to filibuster a disease. Ignore reality at your own peril. As much as Larkin likes to down talk the disease, unlike Trump, he pretty much follows the precautions recommended by medical experts. He likes to talk as if the disease is nothing to worry about, but he does a lot of worrying... he just doesn't acknowledge it much. -- Rick C. + Get 1,000 miles of free Supercharging + Tesla referral code - https://ts.la/richard11209

You never post anything worth discussing.

A lot of formerly active newsgroups are dead, The combatants have moved their petty lives to Facebook. Unfortunately, some are still here.

Certainly nothing on topic. He seems to relish being nasty and cheap. That's what I call autopunishment, making yourself miserable as first priority. -- John Larkin Highland Technology, Inc Science teaches us to doubt. Claude Bernard

Sad. I know some seriously good, and nice and helpful, engineers who have looked at SED and were disgusted by the foulness and OT junk here, and won't play. Is there a good moderated electronic design forum somewhere? -- John Larkin Highland Technology, Inc Science teaches us to doubt. Claude Bernard

And yet, here you are discussing it! You are very interesting in the pathological studies sort of way. I guess this is expected. Like Larkin you last hope a second term for Trump is slipping away as it becomes so clear that the emperor has no clothes. -- Rick C. -- Get 1,000 miles of free Supercharging -- Tesla referral code - https://ts.la/richard11209
