OT Superfluid dark matter

Sorry, for the OT, but it's gotta be better than immigration
politics.

This link will break when a new post comes,
then search archives for superfluid dark matter, Jan. 10 2018
http://backreaction.blogspot.com/

I'm slowly reading the paper.
https://arxiv.org/pdf/1711.05748.pdf
I have no idea about 'binary Tulley-Fisher relations',
but I'm blowing past that and reading on.. :^)

Must be that Russian "collusion" that everyone is harping about.

I'm hetro, so just a lot of licking. :^) The blog post is good. If you care at all about dark matter give it a read. If not, don't. George H.

[snip] Just trying to bring some levity to an otherwise soured newsgroup... reduced to discussions about which end of a resistor is positive ;-) ...Jim Thompson -- | James E.Thompson | mens | | Analog Innovations | et | | Analog/Mixed-Signal ASIC's and Discrete Systems | manus | | STV, Queen Creek, AZ 85142 Skype: skypeanalog | | | Voice:(480)460-2350 Fax: Available upon request | Brass Rat | | E-mail Icon at http://www.analog-innovations.com | 1962 | It's what you learn, after you know it all, that counts.

The anode is positive and the cathode is negative for a resistor, but it is the opposite for a battery.

The anode is the terminal that the anions move toward and cations move away from. In a battery the flow of anions and cations create the current, so the terms provide the polarity of the terminal, anion - negative, cation - positive. In a diode the flow of carriers is in response to the applied current, so the polarity is opposite, anion - attracted to positive terminal, cation - attracted to negative terminal. -- Rick C Viewed the eclipse at Wintercrest Farms, on the centerline of totality since 1998

Hi George. Thanks, that's a really interesting bit of work. The idea that dark matter has it's own peculiar self-interactions does make sense. It has been around for a few years, but this is the first set of self-interactions that seems to be doing anything useful. -- Bill Sloman, Sydney

In chemistry the terms are related to current flow, in electronics the terms are fixed. (else zener diodes could be confusing...) -- This email has not been checked by half-arsed antivirus software
