What, wait, I was just making something up! Mikek PS. I would like to have one of the educated feminists buy me a lobster dinner. I have had several people on welfare want to buy me steaks, in an effort to convert their foods stamps to cash. Also watched a guy charge a little over $50 on each of three different EBT cards. Don't know how he had three different cards. I've been told I shouldn't judge, it could have been perfectly legal. But the same guy also returned 2-gallon jugs of milk, then paid cash for a case of beer. It was like OK, the kids don't get their milk but he gets his beer. I was looking around for cameras, thinking it was a spoof!

EBT returns shouldn't be allowed in cash... it should go back on the EBT card, just as if it were a credit card. Are you saying he bought milk on the EBT card then returned the milk for cash? -- Rick C

Yes, everyone has their apocryphal story of how they saw some deadbeat buy six cases of beer with EBT in the store this one time. You never see the single mother who got bailed on by that deadbeat now working 40 hours/week at Wal Mart using it for their intended purpose to feed her kid because they're invisible. They apparently don't turn on a huge red light every time someone scans their card so every other taxpayer in line can demand a personal thank-you.

That wasn't the sequence, he took the milk of the conveyor before it was charged to the taxpayers. Poorly written by me. Mikek

Most grocery stores around here have "satisfaction guarantees" but I'm pretty sure they don't just let you return unopened perishable items in exchange for cash "just cuz."
