For a "12V"lead-acid battery, nominal full charge is 13.8V (2.3V per cell)

If your alternator is involved that little solar charger will make no difference at all. The smallest car alternator is going to be several hundred watts. Alternators typically charge batteries at around 14.5 volts, so when the alternator is running the solar charger will cut off. R
