I asked this question 2 years ago and not having the talent to what was recommended I just purchased a new 32" lcd tv. It has none of the imputs and outputs that my Polaroid has. I am lost without the many features my Polaroid has. . . . .I took my Polaroid to the local TV repairman (very small town) and he called me up and said it worked fine. When I got to his shop it was connected ...

My 32" Polaroid LCD (Model 3200) tv has lost most its video imputs. It only works on a cable coaxial imput. No screen problems with this imput, but I don't have cable, only satelite. The HDMI and Composite only get the blue screen. . . . .Can anyone suggest what board (video I imagine) would need to be replaced in this unit? in advance thanks to 1 & all.

I have a Radio Shack count-up/count-down timer, catalog #63-878. It's about 2.5"x3.2"x0.70" thick. It's around 10 years old and some of the input keys had become sticky. I had to remove the back, then remove the circuit board which was held in by four screws. As I gingerly removed the circuit board, the LCD display just fell off the circuit board. I cleaned some liquidy gunk from the...

I am wondering if this chip is a microcontroller or just PLD I have an LCD (LM16255) with it and OKI M5259 but I can't get it to init into 4-bit mode. I know some LCDs don't support 4 bit mode but I thought , those are only compatible with 44780. Any Ideas? Thanks Sam.

A worker was setting up to tar some roof cracks on my bench on the garage today. My VOM was nearby, and later I noticed 3 spots of tar. Each less than 1 mm. Maybe 0.3 mm. I tried using my finger nail to get the biggest one off, but no effect. Paint thinner? ?? Forget it?

What is it? :: http://oi62.tinypic.com/28u69on.jpg It?s adjacent to a 3.5 mm jack on the back of a 24? LCD monitor. The documentation doesn?t call out this connector.? It *almost* looks like an audio connector symbol except for the arrow-thing. No audio coming out of it; I plugged in amplified speakers and? nothing.? Ideas? Thanks, Dave

I'm looking for the very smallest -- panel mount -- LCD voltmeter. My Google searches have been dissapointing. The smallest I could find is about 2" wide. This will be part of a 12V bicycle light system. It will mount in a small box, probably on the handlebars. It's measurement range should be about 8 to 20 volts. A voltmeter is not complicated. I would think that one could easi...

OT: Universal Remotes & Projection TV's... Our 18 year-old rear projection TV (55" Letter-box) has finally failed... or not quite... the blue sweep only, dips dramatically in the upper middle of the screen making for some garish looking pictures... particularly on old B&W Hitchcock re-runs (playing here w/o commercials ;-) So I bought a 55" LCD (LED-backlit) at 1/4 the price of the origin...
