Hi everyone!
I need to get stabilized 6V/2A from a variable power supply (SLA battery)
with about 5V (empty) to 8V (full). What is the best solution for do this?
Some kind of SMPS?

The smps will be bolted to a heat sink which is not part of the total
height.

I have a defective SMPS transformer which I cannot replace and
am contemplating rewinding the primary which has shorted

no problems. What are some pitfalls that I might run into when
attempting this.
Any help is appreciated...
Hi,
What is a good way to increase the stability of a SMPS feedback loop?
I have a SMPS that uses this algorithm:

The Mac Mini ac adapter is off until the Mini commands it to turn on via the
iSense pin in the power connector.
What does the iSense pin need in order to start the external SMPS ac adapter?

Hi,
I am working on a switcher with ADC sampling at the same frequency as
the main switcher PWM frequency, they are already synchronized to reduce
noise when sampling the ADC. There are also several small flybacks

PWM...

Hi all,
I've been studying SMPSs for a while out of personal interest, and I stumbled
upon an old schematic for a discrete component-based SMPS:

Hi all,
As I am studying a typical power supply circuit used in a product and
I see two 10 uF capacitors used in series after the rectifier circuit.
I also see 4 x 470k ohms resistors used together with the above
mentioned 10uF capacitors (please see below).

Currently, the power inductors feel like 30C. Nice @~100W transfer.
I suspect, popping in an isolation transformer running at 700khz will
create a humongous drop in efficiency.

How do you guys implement snubbers on the secondary side of a SMPS
