I am tired of writing bit-banger I2C pseudo-masters, so I looked for
PICs with I2C masters built-in. There seem to be very few. Do they
have to pay a license fee to someone to include a I2C master? Or does
it use a lot of silicon real estate? Or is it generally that PICs are
used in slave device...
Anyone here familiar with using I2C over a long bus, say up to a few hundred
feet? Basically either using charge pumps and/or slower speeds(even < 1k
will work).
I know there are some driver chips(but quite expensive for what they do) and
I'm curious as to if there are any simple solutions...

There are more and more chips out there with three and four level
digital input pins?
Like the AD9514 for example.
Seems like a good trend, keeps the packages smaller, but then why not
just add a SPI or I2C interface?

Hi
I'm looking for a micro costing about $1-2 1000up pricing.
At least 13 I/O, of which 2 must be PWM capable, and it'd be nice to have
I2C on a pair too.
External interrupt on one input and operate from 3-5V.
Flash based (guess about 2k), EEPROM, and with some form of ISP. Dev tools
only ...

Would anyone care to share their opinions on these logic analyzers?:

Hi,
Can someone site location or post example code for a MAX6969 LED driver for

(SPI?). I have BASIC code for a I2C interface.

Howdy electonics gurus,
I am currently evaluating a Tektronix MSO2024 ($5150 list, $4377 with

scope came up short because it couldnt "grab" sporadic events like I2...

Is there a device like a "reverse" logic analyzer? Say 30 outputs and
I can program what shows up on each pin in time?

Hi All,
Just posing a little question on the design of photodiode amplifiers.
It is interesting how, so often, when you look into doing something
you haven't done before, you run into interesting bits of 'common
knowledge' that you don't know, and have a hard time finding!
In this case, I am ...
