Hi everyone,

Or, did I just waste my money ordering these? :-(

But, these look great! Is there anything I'm missing?

Will they be MUCH better than regular LiIon batteries, or just a
little better?

Define 'better'.

LOL! If it is not a clearly better, then for me 'better' would be:

1) a shorter charging time and
2) be able to light my halogen bulb for significantly (1.5 to 2x) more
time on a charge in the same space as another 6(ish) volt battery.

I'll be using 2 of these in series. Size is critical in my app.

Those 'nanotechnology' batteries are indeed capable of shorter charging times
with the appropriate charger.

That depends on the Ah rating.

Don't forget weight.

A lot of heavy users oh LiIon batteries are betting this one to be the
best available.

HOWEVER, the manufacturer will warn against charging them in series.
It is a significant risk of fire/explosion!

Charging with two chargers is a much better idea.

Comparable with some NiCad and NiMH cells, but the rest (including other
lithium cells).

You're not getting 1.5x the capacity of other lithium cells in terms of
either mass or volume, but you are comfortably beating other types. The
cells being cylindrical means they pack less well than prismatic cells
in 'square' enclosures.

They look like interesting cells. The intrinsically safe bit looks very
appealing, after seeing what can happen to some exising lithium cells
when they 'malfunction'. Fast charge is good, but you'll need a
non-standard charger to charge them with their unusually low 3.6V @ 25 C
cutoff.
