I have seen inverter / lamp drivers for CCFL at Fry's. Perhaps you can find
them
on their web site www.outpost.com

Note that CCFL is not a typo and that is what your search should incluse.

You might take an inverter from a scrapped laptop. Most of these run on 12
or
more volts but I'm sure you get the lamp to light on 6 volts.

Be careful as the inverter can shock you quite well.
