The admissions have begun.
After being in denial for the better part of the current financial
year (2008-09), bankers have started to acknowledge rising bad loans
are set to pose a huge challenge in the next few years.
Some foreign and private banks are already seeing a rise in
delinquencies.
Meera Sanyal, country executive, ABN Amro Bank, India, admitted there
has been a slight increase in delinquencies for the bank in the credit
card and personal loan segments.
