I=92ve built several PID control loops, mostly for temperature control,
but sometimes for other things. I=92ve always used the all three PID
parameters. I use to think that the D term was there to help reduce
the ringing. (As stated in the wiki PID article.) And was needed to
get critical...

Hello all,
We have been trying to build a prototype of a single-phase power
controller. The amount of power to be output is controlled by a PID
algorithm. The PID algorithm resides in the external flash associated
with a processor. The output from PWM module of the processor controls
the firin...

For the first time I am working on a USB project using a PIC18F4550
chip. I have written firmware for the chip that was tested and works
on a development board... now I put together a circuit of my own and
burned by firmware onto my own chip, and the whole thing enumerates
when plugged into the...
Any good online merchants that sell the equivalent of cordless drill
motors from 14.4 to 36 volts? Any online stores that sell similarly
powerful DC motors in quantities of one?
Partly out of curiosity. How much would you pay if you had to buy a
motor separately and needed a motor like the...

Control the voltage going to the motor, of course.
Shunt motors are difficult because their speed is ...

Ok i got it. i have some coding/compiler difficulties using multiple
pwm outputs (sending the PID output to a 8 bit port seemed a bit more
easy to me :)) but the using PWM output (CCP1 CCP2A) is the best
sollution as you said.
Thanks for *all* replies you cleared my mind. :)
