I have bought some AA Nimh batteries and find that they are vary
slightly bigger than standard alkalines. I'm talking about a
millimetre or two and not much more, but it's enough to make them an
extremely tight fit in devices that have two batteries stacked on top
of each other.
I was wondering...

I'm looking for a good design (with schematic) to charge single 1.2V
NiMH batteries.
Not two in series, not three or four in series: individual batteries.
Schematics of chargers which can handle 4 batteries in parallel
(charging individually) would be appreciated too.
I've got some NiMH b...

I have some rechargable wireless headphones that I use on the
treadmill. The NiCads have developed so much memory that they only
last about 1/2 hour.
Can I replace them with NiMH? Will the charging dock handle them the
same?

I'm generally OK with electronical things, but hardly an expert on
rechargables, from reading the posts here. So, thanks in advance;
here's the question:
Like a lot of folks, i have a pile of those solar yard lights with a
couple of rechargable AA nicads, which have lost their capacity to
sto...

okay I'm going to try them in parallel with the schottky diodes and if
that does not work ... series connection will be okay? I don't know

Hi folks,
I use a bank of NiMH batteries to power some mobile equipment and I
currently charge the bank with a small 6.5 watt folding solar panel.
Works great. One nice extra of this setup is that the banks are made
from AA batteries so I can swap out charged batteries from the banks
and put...

I built a NiMH charger based on the Maxim 712 chip some time ago.
I didn't implement the temperature cutoff part of the chip's capability,
and now would like to do that.
Here's the main question:
How much above ambient temperature should the cutoff be?
Thanks.

Hi,
I have connected 5 new NiMh batteries in series, each is rated at 3800
mAH. When I connect a 10W, 6v halogen bulb to them it lasts about 2
hrs. I expected longer than this, calculating that the current should
be 1.6 amps through the bulb, and the battery pack should have 5 x 3.8

Wasn't it IBM that came up with carbon nanorods
that are supposed to revolutionize battery capacity?
As anodes they were supposed to multiply the
capacity of batteries by 10x.
What was the enhancement that already
multiplied the capacity of NIMH batteries by 10x?

Hello, I recently built-up a front wheel for my bicycle that has a 6v/

store the electricity in a battery which could charge my phone. I

My first question is about the battery. Of cour...

Just wondering if anyone knows the weight of these batteries?
AAA 900mAH
AA 2500mAH
or will they vary between manufacturers?
I'm trying to work out whether 4 x AAA or 2 x AA has the better power
to weight ratio. The batteries will feed a step-up converter whose
efficiency depends on the...

Hi, all,
Still working on "understanding solar light", hopefully to build one. I

chargers have "overcharge protection" - I've been trying to find some sort
of illustration/schematic/circuit for how this is done. I only wa...

ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM ratings:
Maximum Operating Voltage 6.0V
DC Current Vcc and GND pins: 200 mA

still need a 78L05 voltage regulator, or can I skip that?...

My proprietary camera batteries don't last long when new and as I'm not a

capacity) Ni...
