Looking at the guts of a heating control timer. There is a small (34mm
X 86mm) Graphics LCD. The only identifying mark is a label which reads

So, I know that speaker and light magnets donot damage LCD like they
used to dmage CRT's. However, my daughter a mere 2.5yrs old, took a
magnet and was able to make entire area on the screen go completely

I had a circuit of output = -3V (for a lcd supply). However, when i
connect the lcd up, the voltage to that pin drops to -0.7V. Initially

Bought one of these for a couple $ today at my local parts depot. Has 14
pins on each side, and looks like a 3-1/2 or 4 digit display. Trying to
figure out how I can test/make use of such a device. Any ideas are welcome.
Google doesn't help much, at least not with what I have searched on so...
Anyone ever replace the LCD display on such a radio (subject)? I would think
it would be easy if one knew the replacement part. C. Crane will do it for
$25 if I send it in. I don't really want to be without the radio for long,
but maybe it's the easiest way.

I have a stop watch that has a LCD screen witch I would like to
increase the size for easier viewing. The stop watch uses a LR44
1=2E5vdc button battery. On the board that makes contact with the LCD
are a number of contacts/pads. Along the bottom are 15 contact points
